Introduction

Since 1999, BioSystems, S.A. runs an international external quality assessment scheme (EQAS) known as Prevecal.

The External Quality Control (EQAS) complements the internal quality control in the laboratory and is an essential tool to verify the accuracy of results and to evaluate the performance of the laboratory measurement procedures.

The external control program compares the result obtained in the laboratory with a reference value or with the results of all the participant laboratories by analyzing the same sample.
